Amsterdam, the city of northern Europe, has always been a well-known name in world's history and played a central role in the history of the Netherlands (Holland). In the 17th century Amsterdam was the centre of world's economy and today the city is known for its tolerant character.

Red Light District another very popular tourist destination in Amsterdam. Red Light District covers a large area of the oldest part of the city. It is a beautiful area and the later it gets, the busier it gets and the darker it gets, the more obvious the glow of the fluorescent red lights above the many windows in the area becomes.
